This study explores the ethical boundaries of AI in academic work, examining assistance versus plagiarism. A survey of 498 respondents revealed correlations between AI usage frequency, dependency, and critical engagement. Statistical analysis highlighted concerns about inaccuracies, misuse, and absent institutional policies. Findings emphasize responsible integration, ethical frameworks, and educational interventions to ensure AI enhances learning while preserving academic integrity.
